The Carousel is a program comprised mostly of “kindie” music. This relatively new genre of music had its roots in children’s folk tunes of the 90’s. Today, it has become the creative and expressive medium for musicians to showcase children’s and family-oriented music. It encompasses all types of genres: rock, folk, blues, country, reggae, hip-hop, etc. The program airs on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Saturday of each month from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. I try to keep the music upbeat, but I also include recorded stories, lullabies and songs that are educational and empowering.

Join me, Dave Z, for a listening experience unlike anything else in Connecticut — and let your kids listen too.
