4 PM: Larry Stoler Show:
At 5 o’clock, Larry will be talking with John & Larry Gassman about old-time radio from the ‘1930s through the ’50s. They are knowledgeable on the subject and they used to host a weekly program called Same Time Same Station on KPCC until the year 2000 when the station changed to a news talk format. In other words they became a typical NPR affiliate says Stoler.
We will be talking about the origin of shows such as The Lone Ranger, The Green Hornet, The Shadow, Dragnet before it went to TV and others. We’ll also talk about the significance of this time in America and the history of broadcasting.
7 PM: Jeff Day
10 PM: Mikki’s Room: filled with African American and indigenous culture.
2 AM: DJ Mondavi filling in for Tom Poplawski
