The program was recorded in November 2008 on the eve of the election of Barack Obama. Zellner, who was the first field secretary of the Student Non-Violent Coordinating Committee, discusses his experiences during the 1960s civil rights struggle ‘down south’ and his fight with New York police ‘up south’ defending Native American rights in Southampton.
