Civil Rights activist Bob Zellner reads from The Wrong Side of Murder Creek: A White Southerner in the Freedom Movement. The program was recorded in November 2008 on the eve of the election of Barack Obama. Zellner, who was the first field secretary of the Student Non-Violent Coordinating Committee, discusses his experiences during the 1960s civil rights struggle ‘down south’ and his fight with New York police ‘up south’ defending Native American rights in Southampton.
