Today, Deb will welcome in the studio Barbara Tinney, Executive Director of the New Haven Family Alliance, Andrew Woods, Executive Director of Hartford Communities That Care and Kenny Jackson, Director of Beacon Mentoring Programs in Bridgeport to discuss gun violence in large to mid-size cities. This segment of Deb’s show Dancing Barefoot will begin at 1:30 and run for about 55 minutes. Barbara, Andrew and Kenny have begun to work together to discuss the reality of urban violence including gun violence through the spectrum of public health and ways to partner together to address it. We will explore their work to date and open the phones for any comments or questions

This Saturday’s guest will be Kevin McKinney, the creator of Corporate FM, A documentary about how radio that promoted local unsigned bands and was involved with the community it was licensed to serve changed and is a shadow of its former self. What led to the way radio sounds today all over the country? Phil Bowler and Larry will explore this and other aspects of the documentary and more with Kevin McKinney this Saturday at 5 P.M.
