At 5:00 p.m., Larry and Phil’s guest will be Michael Harrison discussing the past and future state of music and talk radio in America. In addition to being one of the first morning men on WNEW-FM in New York after it became a progressive rock station in the late ’60s and changing the programming from beautiful music to rock on WLIR-FM on Long Island, Mr. Harrison has been a station owner and an editor for Radio and Records. He also created album oriented rock radio in the ’80s. Currently he publishes Talkers Magazine, a daily summary of what’s going on in the talk radio industry. He also owns Radio Info Magazine and the website www.radioinfo.com. This is another reliable place to keep up with developments in the business.
