The Thunder Bird Sisters from the Shinnecock Nation, Native American Music Award winning folk group are joined by guests Caroline Doctorow and Mick Hargreaves (of WPKN’s Song Trails Radio Hour) for a concert to benefit WPKN at The Stephen Talkhouse 161 Main St. in Amagansett, NY. Admission is $20 at the door, but you can reserve at 631-259-2482.

1) Heather Booth, long time social justice organizer, currently Director of Americans for Financial Reform, discusses the weakness and flaws in pending financial regulation reform legislation.

2) Annie Shattuck,Policy analyst at Food First/Institute for Food and Development Policy and co-author of the book “Food Rebellions! Crisis and the Hunger for Justice,” with Eric Holt-Giménez and Raj Patel, looks at hunger in America and summarizes a new food First study titled, “Food Policy Councils: Lessons Learned.”

3) Mel Goodman, former CIA analyst, now senior fellow at the Center for International Policy and adjunct professor of Government at Johns Hopkins University, assesses Obama administration policy on confronting terrorism.

4) Tim McKee of the Connecticut Green Party and a National Committee Representative, explains why the Greens are now trying to recruit Ralph Nader to run for the U.S. Senate seat that will be vacated by Senator Chris Dodd this November.
