In-studio guests include: Hannah Fair singer-songwriter, Peter Katis of The Philistines, Jr. and Tarquin Studios, and via phone Elisa Flynn talks about an upcoming event at Cafe Nine in New Haven, A Tribute To The Anthology of American Folk Music: To Benefit CT Food Bank featuring an array of CT musicians: Chris Bousquet; Bill Collins; Ellison Jackson; Elisa Flynn; the Grimm Generation; Lys Guillorn; George Hakkila; Dave Hogan; Daphne Lee Martin; The Mercy Choir; Mr. Ray Neal; Stacy Phillips; The Proud Flesh; the Sawtelles Brooklyn musician Elisa Flynn and CT musician Lys Guillorn co-host the tribute. Each musician will perform two songs from the Anthology, which was compiled by folklorist, researcher and musicologist Harry Smith, and originally released as a three-record set in 1952. It went on to influence folk musicians of the ’50s and ’60s, directly presaging the folk revival and providing a basis for folk and Americana musicians who followed.
