WPKN General Manager Emeritus Harry Minot fills-in for John Corvino with a program which will focus on “The Disparity Problem”, homelessness in Danbury CT, and memories of The Great Danbury State Fair. Featured guests will include Neil Silberblatt talking about organizing local poetry readings, including one in Danbury, legendary WLAD/Danbury broadcaster Paul Baker on the Great Danbury State Fair and the Danbury Fair Speedways Racearena, Annie Orr on the overflow homeless shelter she has run at the First Congregational Church in Danbury for twenty years, and Wendy Cahill, owner of Molten Java in Bethel, on nurturing community in a commercial setting. Veteran WLAD host George Repko will be a special guest programmer for the last hour of the program.
