WPKN Local News Returns

WPKN Local News will air Monday – Friday at 6:55 PM starting Monday June 11.  It will be followed by national and international news from Free Speech Radio News at 7PM.

Melinda Tuhus will present the news provided by various sources including ctnewsjunkie.com and Long Island Patch editors.
Brendan O’Reilly, editor of Southampton Patch will edit news from around Suffolk County, New York

Melinda Tuhus will also provide occasional live reports from New Haven.

Long Island native Brendan O’Reilly is a graduate of Hofstra University in Hempstead, NY where he earned a bachelor’s in print journalism and was the editor of the campus newspaper,  He was a reporter at the Southampton Press and editor of the Press News Group’s 27east.com before becoming editor at Southampton Patch.   Welcome to our WPKN volunteer staff Brendan!

WPKN’s Melinda Tuhus regularly reports on critical issues for WPKN’s weekly syndicated radio series “Between The Lines” and for her monthly environmental show, “The Forest and the Trees,” in addition to her professional reporting for many other audio, print and on-line outlets.
