CT Rocks! #128 will feature many of the bands performing at the Fauxchella Festival, Saturday April 21 at 305 Gallery in Bridgeport, CT. John Flynn, organizer of the music festival and leader of the New Haven band The Morning On Fire, will be in-studio. There will be ticket giveways (both general admission and VIP) during the show for this all ages event. Sidewalk Dave will be stopping by to perform live in-studio. Also, Ben Carroll from The Hollow Glow will call in.

Captain Chris German Executive Director of Connecticut Community Boating,  a 501(c)(3) organization, will be in studio to talk about CCB’s mission to provide access to CT’s shoreline for the 99%. CCB’s programs include education, kids programs and access to a variety of boating activities up and down the CT shore from Sailboats to powerboats to kayaks etc.  We will discuss CCB’s new Bridgeport location and their future plans including the 100 mile march to clean CT’s shoreline , kid’s swimming lessons and summer sailing classes.

Richard’s  talks with  Jackie DiSalvo, a NYC-based labor organizer who is also involved in Occupy Wall Street, will talk about the prospects for a robust alliance between labor and the Occupy movement this spring.  Nathan Schneider, director of Waging Non-Violence, will talk about the debate within the Occupy movement on those who believe in direct action (or a “diversity of tactics”) and those who adhere to a strict non-violence approach. Plus:  newly discovered Jazz, Latin, R&B and World music selections.
