We take a break from fund-raising for a few hours to bring you this remote broadcast.
The festival includes performances by local and national bands, a Pro/Amateur soup cook-off competition, an artisan expo featuring local crafts, and a classic auto show. It’s a fundraiser for the Mary A Schmecker Turtle Shell Fund, which exists under the umbrella of the Valley Community Foundation. It furthers the cause of art, craft and music education for children and young adults in the Lower Naugatuck Valley and surrounding areas.
Admission is free and SOUPSTOCK is open to the public. Liquid Lunch is hosting the event. The Lower Naugatuck Valley Boys And Girls Clubs will hold their annual Herbie Rollinson Memorial Walkathon on the site during the day. All are invited to come, taste the soup, enjoy the sights and sounds, and show your support for local kids!
