Daniel Ellsberg, a former government military analyst who in 1971 leaked the now-famous Vietnam War era “Pentagon Papers” to the press. The documents chronicled the lies and deceit employed by the government to justify U.S. military intervention and escalation in Southeast Asian wars Ellsberg, author of several books including, “Papers on the War,” discusses his unique perspective on the latest WikiLeaks release of U.S. government and military documents. Adrienne Pine, assistant professor of anthropology at American University with a focus on Latin America, discusses the WikiLeaks release of State Dept. cables related to governments in South, Central America and the Caribbean.
