Emotion Roadmap for November 27

Saturday, November 27th, 2010

Chuck Wolfe host. Our theme is always to help people manage their own emotions and their emotional relationships with others.

On November 27 from 4-6 PM our focus will be on giving thanks with an international perspective. We have several fascinating guest speakers.

1. Ambassador Arturo Fermandois Vöhringer of Chile will focus on the rescue of the miners and Chilean President Sebastian Piñera’s remarks about the magnificent effort put forth by Chile along with the lovely things he said about the contributions of the US.

2. Catherine McCarthy will describe an approach to work that raises productivity and employee morale by helping people and companies provide time for spiritually and emotionally uplifting activities. Her work with Sony Pictures is featured in Harvard Business Review.

3. Vineet Nayar, CEO of HCL Technologies, largest employer in India, has implemented an Employees First, Customers Second culture that is exceptional. Employees laud his accomplishments and his business performance is phenomenal. He also has a nonprofit venture that is designed to create a million smiles among disadvantaged children.

4. Laura Vecchio is a singer, songwriter, who heard our show while driving from NY city to Boston. She enjoyed what she heard and asked about sharing a song she wrote that builds on the “I have a dream” speech by Martin Luther King. The song is terrific and we will play it.
