Speaking of Women continues! As part of Women’s History month, Binnie Klein interviews feminist educator Rhea Hirshman about her many years as a Womens Studies teacher, exploring together some women’s history facts and anecdotes. Then, at 11, Rhea will interview Jennifer Klein, professor of history at Yale University, on the topic of women and labor.

Recorded last month in Lahore, Pakistan. Hazel interviews Shireen Pasha, a leading Pakistani documentary filmmaker and head of the National College of Art film department. Hazel was part of Shireen’s team traveling through South Punjab villages to document the rebirth of village life after the devastating floods of 2010 and 2012. In the interview, Shireen shares her deep knowledge and love of Lahore and her unique view of the politics, philosophy and practice of making documentary films.
