A Miscellaneous List of Other Interests

Some of these come under the category of "things I like to do with my kid." Some of them don't.

Stepping Stones Museum is a space for children in Norwalk Connecticut. It has a room for toddlers and preschoolers, a large space for water play, and ongoing classes and activities for young children.

As the mother of a toddler, I'm constantly looking for activities to occupy her very active little mind and body. The person who put together 101 Activities to Do with Your Toddler was obviously in the same position.

We love to take walks and hikes, and we're so glad that Connecticut has such a wealth of parks and trails. Some of the loveliest are found in the sanctuaries and reserves owned by the Connecticut Audubon Society. Of course, they also have many ongoing activities for bird lovers.

Tricycle is not only a children's toy, but it's also a magazine of Buddhist thought and practice. One feature is the Daily Dharma, a new reading or meditation every day.
